I’d spent 16 years designing and redesigning my floor plans, and I finally decided to call in some outside help to stop the churn. Roy, Korey, and Sunny were all very pleasant to work with and took the drawings I’d done and fleshed them out into real blueprints. Roy was able to provide the tradeoff information I needed when deciding between different options based on cost, performance, and reliability, and was able to use his connections to get me ballpark pricing on the glass in the house—the highest risk item cost-wise.
They were patient with me as I made multiple rounds of tweaks—something I really appreciate—and they were also able to split my build into two phases to let me get a little bit built now and a bit later. That kind of long-term planning was exactly what I needed, and they delivered! The team was fast and responsive, and I was shocked at how many things they got right on the first pass—they far exceeded my expectations (and as an engineer myself, I’d set the bar pretty high).
The ability to actually see the house in 3D really helped, too, in terms of being able to gauge spacing and lighting, and they even incorporated purely cosmetic changes to let me see what the place would look like, even though those changes wouldn’t affect the actual drawings.
Cost-wise, they came out a bit less than I expected, too, which was a pleasant surprise; I’d had quotes that nearly doubled the price they ended up charging me. My only regret is that I can’t convince them to build the house, too; I’m gonna be hard-pressed to find a builder as responsive, professional, and timely as these guys were in doing up the plans!
